Fat Duck Deli was one of the first places I visited when we moved in across the street. The owner was the sweetest and would always hand me some extra candy, even if I was just picking up a lemon bar (my favorite). I could tell she would try to make everyone feel welcome and loved the students living in the area. So sad to hear she’s passed away, I’ll miss her so much.
I’ve been to Fat Ducks a couple times now and I have to say the owner is one of the sweetest people I’ve met. She is a generous and genuine person with a caring nature. The food she makes are delicious as well. I’ve had the ecstasy bar and pecan bar. The ecstasy bar tasted great but the pecan bar was even better. I’ve also had the lox bagel sandwich with chive cream cheese, tomatoes, and capers and it’s one of the better bagel sandwiches I’ve had before. I know I will be back soon.
Iconic. Bagel sandwiches are delicious, juicy and very filling. Ecstasy Bar is one of the best, most decadent desserts I've ever had. Jackie makes her own caramel by hand and runs the entire place by herself. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here ALL THE TIME.
